Project details
A person may swear an oath and then fail to fulfill it, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Here the Sharia ruling applies: “Its expiation is to feed ten needy people…” and the expiation of an oath is not only a religious obligation but also an opportunity to feed those who cannot secure their daily food, at a time when hunger has become a daily reality in Gaza. The Oath Expiation Project enables you to perform this religious duty easily and with confidence, turning your expiation into real meals distributed to those most in need.
What is the expiation of an oath? Allah the Exalted said: “Allah will not take you to task for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He will take you to task for what you have intended—its expiation is to feed ten needy people…” [al-Ma'idah: 89]
Accordingly, the expiation of an oath is fulfilled by:
• Feeding ten needy people with customary food.
• Or paying the equivalent value in cash to whoever will distribute it to those entitled.
How do we implement the expiation? Through this project we:
• Prepare food meals or simple food baskets to be distributed to those in need.
• Ensure the food reaches genuinely poor people in the poorest areas inside Gaza.
• Execute expiations on time, with honesty and transparency.
Why choose to have your expiation implemented with us?
• Because we know the field needs and where real impact is achieved.
• Because you fulfill a religious duty while helping to sustain a needy person at the same time.
• Because implementation preserves the dignity of beneficiaries, without exposure or discrimination.
Your expiation… food and dignity
Fulfill your oath expiation, and make it a path to goodness, feeding, and meeting the need of those who do not beseech others. Contribute now, and perform your expiation in a way that pleases God and brings joy to a person in dire need.
